Contests

The I Love Music, I Buy Music Foundation Against Piracy has dedicated itself for a while now to raising awareness of the harm illegal downloading does and trying to give everyone the right motives to stop piracy. We believe that, with help, everyone can come to the realization that cheating artists out of the rewards they’re entitled to is simply unfair. We also belive, though, that unless we begin to give people the means and not just the motives to stop illegal filesharing, this battle won’t make very significant changes.

That’s why the ILMIBM Foundation is pleased to present Zount. Zount is the newest weapon in the war against piracy and in defense of artists’ rights. It comes in the shape of an all-in-one platform, where bands will be able to promote themselves, upload profiles and tour information and sell their music at the prices they deem best. Listeners and music lovers from all over the globe will be able to discover bands easier than ever before, listen to all the high quality songs available and create and browse free playlists.

As a way to begin this ambitious new project and raise awareness on our battle for musicians’ rights, ILMIBM and Zount have decided to launch a worldwide band competition. The Ninja Masters of the Universe international band contest is for any and every band looking to get their name out there and is the perfect way to get to know Zount. All those groups and artists that pre-register on Zount and in the competition will become the first privileged few beta testers of the site and will receive many other benefits, such as the chance to sell their music through Zount free of charge.

In the initial phases of the competition, those first few bands will be able to upload their information and music onto an early version of Zount, where everyone will be able to learn about them and hear their music. Once Zount officially launches, anyone will be able to vote through the site itself or Zount’s MySpace and Facebook pages.
